This tour is for people who want to discover the land of nomads. Kyrgyz Republic is a brilliant place for trekking activity over the legendary Celestial Mountains and through impressive passes and gorges. There is the second largest mountainous lake in the world Issyk-Kul meaning ‘warm lake'. You will experience the way of living in the nomadic conditions far away from the hectic of stuffy and busy cities. 


Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
You will be met by your guide at Manas International Airport Transfer to Bishkek will take only half an hour. Your first day in the Kyrgyz capital will start with fact - finding City Tour. The tour concludes the visiting of the central part of this nice capital -  Ala-Too Square, as well as Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest of the capital. Lunch is included. Then we will go to the Chon Kemin valley and stop in the Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse, where you also will spend the night. On the way, we will stop to spend some time  for visiting the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Dinner is at 7 pm.

 

 

Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
Transport from Chon - Kemin to Tamga, which lies 380 km away. As soon as you are finished with breakfast that is served at 7 o'clock, you will start your trip to Tamga (6hours) by car. We will drive along the southern shore of the Celestial Issyk-Kul Lake(1608m.above sea level), also known as "the pearl of Central Asia. It is the second largest mountain lake in the world after the Lake Titicaca in South America. Measuring 182 km long by 58 km wide. Dinner is served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will spend the night.

 

 

Day 3: Tamga - Jukku gorge - pass Jukku
After the breakfast we leave the Guesthouse at 8 o'clock by car for our today's trip to the entry of the gorge Jukka. Jukku is the place where Kyrgyz nomadic shepherds still live in yurts and you have a wonderful opportunity to try a national drink Kumis (alcohol fermented mare's milk). From this place we will hike through the gorge until we arrive at the foot of the pass Jukka. Lunch is on the way. Your dinner is served in the open air and overnight stay is in tents in wild nature.

 

 

Day 4: Pass Jukku - Ak-Shirak
Breakfast is served at 8 o'clock. Meal is after the climbing over the Jukku Pass. Then the hiking will be continued along the Silk Road (7hours) inside the Ak Shirak mountain range (average level is 3680m above sea), which is famous for its mountain Chokoli lakes. These lakes find their origin in glaciers. There is a stunning view over the best part of these lakes. The night is spent in yurts (collapsible nomadic habitations) near these lakes, as soon as you have a dinner.

 

 

Days 5-7: Syrty Ak-Shirak (3000m above sea level)
Ror the period of this trip you will also see our gorgeous Ara-Belsu Lake. Ak-Shirak is the place where ancient traders hid from robberies where you feel like you are under the protection good spirits looking after you. All nights are to be spent in traditional nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts, which are made of sheep wool and wooden structure without a single nail. It is a 3-days-hike from Ak - Shirak along the southern side of the Terskey Ala-Too Mountains to reach the foot of glacier Ashu-Tor.

 

 

Day 8: Gorge Ashu-Tor 
Breakfast. After that you will hike over the pass Ashu-Tor (4000m.) where you will overlook the Ashu-Tor glacier (3600-4200m), whilst having a picnic. Then you will come to the Ara-Belsu Lake before starting the descent to Ashu-Tor gorge by passing through the dazzling Northern Ashu-Tor valley (7 Hours, 3250m). After your dinner your overnight stay is planned in tents.

 

 

Day 9: Gorge Ashu-Tor - Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu
Having packing your backpacks, you will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock before you start your 7 hours hike down to the Chon Kyzyl Suu valley and the old geophysics station (2650m). Lunch break is organized on the way. Your dinner is served at 8 p.m. You will spend the night in yurts just like real nomads do. A yurta is a unique nomadic habitation made of felt and wooden frame. Yurta is manufactured without a single nail! Erecting and collapsing of which takes only hours.

 

 

Day 10: Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu - Bishkek
In the morning, you will be guided down to the hot water springs of Jeli Suu, (1 Hours) where you can take a bath. Breakfast will be prepared by at 8 o'clock. After having lunch you will go back to the Kyrgyz capital - Bishkek that is situated on the distance of 350 km. During this trip you southern shore of celestial Issyk Kul Lake (1600m.ab.s.l.) that is the most rewarding in terms of rugged natural beauty, via the magnificent Boom gorge. You will be in Bishkek at a Hotel **** at around 7 pm, where you will have time for yourself until you are picked up at 8 pm. You will have a wonderful farewell dinner in a restaurant with a national folklore show in Bishkek.

 

 

Day 11: Return Journey
You will be met by your guide at your Hotel at the pick up time arranged previously according to your Flight details and transferred to the Airport Manas.
