Welcome to Kyrgyzstan! We want to present you a perfect tour for tourists who like nature and trekking. We made a special tour that will take place on the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. During this tour you will see our famous lake and real nomads. You will sleep not only in home stays and hotels, but also in yurts - nomadic dwellings made of wood and felt. This country represents the most ideal place for hiking activity!
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be met by your guide at Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek City (30 min. drive). Breakfast. After accommodation in a hotel*** that is situated in a clam part of the city you will take a break. Afterwards you will have an excursion to Ala-Archa National Park. It is located in the Ala-Arch gorge, on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), in 45 km from Bishkek - capital of Kyrgyzstan. You can climb on the top of a mountain to have a nice observation of this famous gorge. Returing trip to the capital. 7 p.m. traditional food will be served. Overnight in the Hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek - Jukku gorge
7 o'clock morning meal. Trip to the gorge of Jukku by bus. On the way we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). We will drive through the stunning Boom gorge.You will be told about nomads' life, customs and their extraordinary traditions by your guide. Then will continue our way to the Jukku gorge along the southern shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake, which is second largest mountainous lake in the world (1608 m. above sea level). The Lake is also known as "the pearl of Central Asia". When we arrive in Jukku gorge you will have hiking through the gorge to our tent camp. Dinner will be served in the camp, where you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Jukku gorge
In Jukku gorge, there are marvelous mountains, red rocks, and a cave that is called "500 rams"., Today you will have acclimatization. You are exploring its nature on your own. You can hike along the incredible gorge to take a bath in mineral hot water springs; go on its nearest peaks, visit red mountains or just relax in the atmosphere of calm nature. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. Visit a Kyrgyz family and be welcomed into their yurt. The Kyrgyz people are very hospitable and friendly, they will offer you Kymyz (a little bit alcoholic fermented mare's milk). You will see the way of national food preparing and you will have a chance even to participate in the process to be closer to nomads' life. National dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Day 4: Jukku gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu
Just after breakfast we are off for a hike through the 2520m above sea level Jukka gorge to the ravine Chon Kyzyl Suu. You will hike along the Great Silk Ro just as well as ancient traders did. During this unforgettable trip you will see our heavenly mountains and terrific views of its pristine nature. You will stop for a night at the camp placed right in the ravine.
Day 5: Chon Kyzyl Suu
After a delicous breakfast, we leave the camp at 9 am and start our hiking tour to the marvelous Ashu Tor pass (2800m). You will feel as if you are 1000 thousand years ago in wild Tian Shan Mountains. After your lunch you will have an ascent to an amazing mountain lake, which finds its origin in a glacier. With a bit of luck you might see mountain goats, ibex, which are adored by the Kyrgyz people. After enjoying the view of the mountain lake we come back to the station. This place is so distant from civilization and you can relax completely there.
Our cooks will teach you the way of national meals making. You can even participate in cooking of the traditional Central Asian dishes as plov.
Day 6: Chon Kyzyl Suu - Djeti Oguz
Delicious traditional breakfast. The walk to the impressive Djeti Oguz - Seven Bulls gorge. You will have hiking along superb places. They views change so fast that you cannot even notice how the time passes. You will be surprised who changeable our mountains.
Day 7: Djeti Oguz - Oguz Bashi - Djeti Oguz
Today, you will see many yurts, collapsible felt dwellings of nomads on the way. It is made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by felt. You will have hiking up to the Oguz Bashi glacier. You will have a nice picnic with a view of the glacier and then we will return to camp.
Day 8: Djety Oguz
This day morning give you perfect possibility to walk in this pictorial gorge of Djety Oguz. The name Djeti Oguz means "7 Bulls". You will have several guides and that is why you can choose what to do. Some of you can hike to a mountain waterfall; others can go down the gorge to a resort that was built in Soviet time. It will be possible to take a bath with hot springs and have massage there if you wish. Or you can hike to the Red rocks that have unusual forms. Because of these rocks the whole gorge was named. Indeed it looks like huge bulls from a far distance. Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain and your guides will tell you a beautiful legend about it. In the evening you will taste our national meal - kurdak. You can also participate in its making to reveal all secrets of nomadic cuisine. During your farewell mountain dinner you will enjoy Kyrgyz Folk nomadic songs, unusual national Kyrgyz musical instruments.
Day 9: Djeti Oguz - Issyk Kul Lake
Pack your backpacks. You are to be served breakfast at 9 o'clock Then you will have
hiking down to the Djeti Oguz gorge. It has a nice mountain river that flows along the whole gorge. When we will come to the bottom of the gorge you can walk for 15 minutes on the top of the nearest mountain - there is a scenic view on Djeti Oguz rocks and red mountains around! Then you will be transferred to the northern shore of the Issyk Kul Lake which is second largest mountain lake in the world. The Lake(1608m.above sea level) is also known as "the terasure of Central Asia". Dinner is to be served in a guesthouse, where you are to spend the night.
Day 10: Issyk Kul - Bishkek
You will have breakfast at 8 o'clock. We start our trip back to Bishkek city admiring the beauty of the surrounding changeable landscapes. In Bishkek you will have time to go for a walk around the city and to buy souvenirs. At 7 p.m. a dinner is served.
Day 11: Flight home
Early morning transfer to the airport. Have a safe flight!
