We would like to present you a horse riding tour that includes the visiting of Issyk Kul Lake and horse back riding in the heavenly mountains. You will ride a horse for many hours in places with wild untouched nature. You will feel complete freedom there.Kyrgyz Republic is mountainous country and there it is not easy to survive without horses. That is why the best possession for nomad was a horse.
Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
From Manas International Airport you will be collected by your guide. Transfer from the Airport to Bishkek City takes half an hour. Upon arrival in Bishkek city you will start the day with a breakfast. The day will be entirely devoted to a guided city tour. This tour gives you an opportunity to visit the most interesting places and monument of the capital, such as: Oriental Bazaar, National Philharmonic, Ala-Too Central Square, the Historical Museum of Kyrgyzstan, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Art Gallery and Pobeda Square (Victory Square). We will have a lunch at 2 p.m. Transfer rfom Bishkek City to Chon Kemin Valley, to the Guesthouse of Kalmak-Ashuu. We will visit Burana Tower Historical Complex on the way. It includes the tower itself, small museum with artifacts that were discovered at the site of the settlement during the excavations, the reconstructed foundations of the mausoleums, excavated hill that was probably khan's palace, Balbans (stone warriors) cemetery and petroglyphs - carvings on the stones. You will spend this night in Kalmak - Ashuu guesthouse. Our dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
Breakfast is served at 7 o'clock in the morning. This day our main target is the trip to Tamga Village(380 km,6h) through the picturesque canyon of Boom along the southern shore of the Celestial Issyk-Kul Lake (1608m.above sea level). Issyl - Kul is the second largest mountain lake in the world. The Lake is also known as "The treasure of Central Asia". Our dinner will be served in the Tamga guesthouse, where you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Tamga - Chong Kyzyl Suu
After a strengthening breakfast we will start our way to impressive Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley by car (70 km). Afterwards you will start your horseback riding along the Terskey mountain range (5h). On the way, you will see red mountains in different shapes, just before we will visit the mineral sources of hot springs at Jeli Suu ( Dungan Village), where you will have the possibility to take a bath in hot springs. Afterwards, a horseback riding tour to the Physical and Geographical station of Chong Kyzyl Suu is waiting for you (1 hour). Your dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts. A yurta is an original nomad's dwelling. It is made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by felt. This is a collapsible dwelling that is built without nails.
Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Karatakia Pass - Kichi Kyzyl Suu Gorge
Fortifying breakfast. You will have a horseback riding after that to the striking Gorge of Karatakia and afterward over the Pass of Karatakia. You will take a lunch after enjoying of the surrounding views. It will be (6h) horseback riding down to Kitshi Kyzyl Suu Valley after lunch. The Valley of Kichi Kyzyl Suu is the place where you can try Kumis - fermented mare's milk that is Kyrgyz national drink. Our dinner is served at 7 p.m. Overnight stay is in the tent camp.
Day 5: Kitchi Kyzyl Suu - gorge Jukutchak
You will start horse riding to (3937m above sea level) Kashka-Tor pass after breakfast. You will ride a horse all the way through the stunning red ravine. En route you will visit the sandstone red cave that is known "500 rams". It is said that in olden times the nomads used this cave for their cattle. But some time later the part of the cave was destroyed by the earthquake. But even now it is possible to imagine the original size of this cave for 500 rams. There is also a mountain waterfall. You will have your lunch at the bottom of the waterfall. The waterfall is situated not far from hot springs (40 degrees Celsius) that are also possible to visit if you wish. After having a rest we continue our way to Jukutchak valley. Night in tents. Dinner is served at 8 p.m.
Day 6: Gorge Jukutshak - gorge Ashu-Kashka Suu
Breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock in the morning. After breakfast we will commence an ascent on horses to the (3636m above sea level) pass Ashu-Tor, on the way you will see a mountain waterfall and also you can take a bath in sauna. After lunch you will keep on (6h) your horse riding down the gorge of Ashu-Kashka Suu. Dinner will be served at 8 p.m. Overnight is in tents.
Day 7: Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge - Kashka-Suu Lake
At 8 o'clock is your breakfast. After packing your backpacks you will have an ascent on horses to the pass Kashka-Suu (3891m.), where you will take lunch. Then you will ride your horse to the Kashka-Suu Lake (6h). This lake finds its origin in a glacier that is why the water is so clean and sparkling. This high mountain lake situated at an altitude of 3800 meters above sea level. Dinner is served at 7p.m. Night in tents.
Day 8: Lake Kashka-Suu - river Kumtor (3012m)
Just after fortifying breakfast you will start 6 hours horse riding to Kumtor river. You will ride among Ak Shirak Mountains, which have snow even in summer. You will be surprised by the unpredictable weather conditions. It can change from summer heat to winter snowfall within 20 minutes. The River of Kumtor is the most famous site for gold diggers. Even these days there are some natives who make an effort in finding gold there. You will spend the night near the Central Tien Shan Observatory in tents. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Day 9: Kumtor - Arabel Suu
This day we start with a breakfast at 8 o'clock in the morning. After having breakfast we will ride along Arabel Suu River for 5 hours. We will keep on to the mountain lakes valley after having traditional lunch. There is the valley of 8 lakes. The lakes are located nearby each other and you could see all of them. The walking there provokes unforgettable feelings. Dinner. Overnight stay is near Arabel Suu River in tents.
Day 10: Arabel Suu - Chokoli Lakes (3006m)
You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock Then there is a continuation of horseback riding to the Chokoli Lakes. With a bit of luck you can notice Marco Polo sheep and ibexes there. Also you will visit a glacier not far from the mountain lake. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. You will spend the night in tents near the lake.
Day 11: Chokoli Lakes - Bishkek City (by car)
Breakfast is at 8 o'clock in the morning. Pack your luggage. We will be transferred by car to Bishkek City. In Bishkek we will arrive at around 5 p.m. In the hotel*** until your pick up at 7 p.m. you will have time for yourself. In the evening we will have farewell dinner.
Day 12: Flight home
Your guide will meet you at the Hotel at the pick up time arranged previously according to your flight details and accompany you to Manas International Airport.
